Esta intervención colectiva se ha desarrollado en el contexto del IX congreso de Bioética celebrado en el hotel Nelva de Murcia los días 23, 24 y 25 de octubre de 2009

 

 Este proyecto quiere ser una reflexión sobre la presencia individual y su inserción en el campo de lo social, así como las consecuencias que conlleva la toma de posición respecto a cualquier línea de pensamiento.

 

BREVE DESCRIPCIÓN DEL PROYECTO

 

La primera actuación se produce cuando los asistentes al congreso llegan al punto de reunión. En este momento se les pide que impriman la huella de su mano en una placa de cemento fresco, de un color rosado, semejante a la pies humana (occidental) y que intenten describir en cinco palabras, solo cinco, los objetivos, expectativas, intenciones, dudas…que se plantea para el congreso. Obviamente lo limitado del posible mensaje y la sorpresa del momento, hará que este mensaje no sea muy completo, o que la persona interpelada, pueda pensar que su respuesta no es la adecuada.

 

Esas palabras (verbos, adjetivos, sustantivos, pronombres…) quedarán recogidas en unas tarjetitas que cada congresista escribirá de su puño y letra, y que se guardarán junto a las placas con la huella, que supone una plasmación de la identidad y una metáfora del ser humano que hace, y piensa lo que hace, y del que la mano es símbolo general, al tiempo que identidad individual.

 

Al día siguiente, cuando los asistentes lleguen a la sede del congreso, van a encontrar las piezas dispuestas por el suelo formando un campo de manos, o más bien un jardín, pues cada mano se ha llenado de tierra con césped plantado, ya germinado y de cada uno de los dedos salen las etiquetas con las palabras-definiciones generadas la jornada anterior.

 

Por tanto, la pieza  que el día anterior no era más que afirmación de identidad y de intenciones, ha tornado en un ser vivo, precisado de cuidados, y sujeto a posibles acciones beneficiosas o contrarias para su integridad a manos de cualquiera que por ahí pase, que desde luego será participante en el congreso. A tal efecto, cada persona recibirá un “lote básico de atención” formado por tres jeringas: una con agua , otra con fertilizante, y otra con veneno, con las que podrá cuidar, matar o simplemente abandonar su pieza, o la de cualquier otro congresista, con las consecuencia éticas que de  estos actos se derivan.

 

En otro sentido, antes hablábamos de lo parco, o lo inadecuado que supone limitar a cinco palabras (cinco dedos) todo la reflexión propia frente al congreso, por lo que ahora, cada persona tiene ante sí todo un jardín sembrado con las ideas de todos,(las limitaciones de todos) a su completa disposición para poder completar el mensaje que de forma individual quedaba tan pobre. Para que esta recolección tenga una forma real, habrá instalado un panel que recogerá de forma esquemática todo el campo de metáforas con las huellas y las palabras-semilla , y donde mediante un hilo  se podrá ir tejiendo físicamente, mensajes más elaborados que irán creando el entramado, la tela real, metáfora al fin de esta reunión.

 

Acabado el congreso, se entregará a cada participante su pieza como recuerdo de lo que fue individualidad, luego jardín y ahora eslabón  de una cadena.

Al final de todo, no puedo dejar de agradecer hasta el infinito y más allá la inmensa ayuda que recibí de mis amigos Gaspar, José Antonio , Blas y Eva sin los que seguro, no lo hubiera conseguido.

 

"FIELD OF METAPHORS"

It's a collective action designed to Bioethics Congress, which will be held this year in the city of Murcia.

This project offers a reflection on the individual presence and their integration into the social field and the consequences associated with taking a position on any line of thought.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT

The first act is when congress attendees arrive at the venue. At this time they are asked to print the their handprints in wet cement plate, a pink color, similar to human feet (west) and attempting to describe in five words, only five, objectives, expectations, intentions , doubts ... that arises during the congress. Obviously the limited message and the possible surprise of the moment, that this message will not be very complete, or that the person addressed, may think that their response is not adequate.

Those words (verbs, adjectives, nouns, pronouns ...) will be reflected in some little cards to write to every congressman in his own handwriting, and that will be saved along with the plates with the print, which is an embodiment of identity and a metaphor for human being who does and thinks what he does, and that the hand is a symbol general, while individual identity.

The next day, when attendees at the venue of the congress, will find the pieces ready for the floor in a field of hands, or rather a garden, as each hand is full of land planted with grass, and germinated and of each finger out tags with the words' definitions generated the previous day.

Therefore, the part that the previous day was no more than an affirmation of identity and intentions, has become a living being, requiring care, and subject to potential beneficial actions or contrary to their integrity at the hands of whoever happens around , which of course will be participating in the congress. To this end, each person will receive a "basic care lot" consisting of three syringes, one with water, one with fertilizer, and another with poison, with which you can care, kill, or simply leave your room, or any other Congressman, with ethical consequences of these events is derived.

In another sense, we spoke of the laconic, which is inadequate or limited to five words (five fingers) all own reflection against the Congress, so now, everyone has before it an entire garden planted with the ideas of all , (the limitations of all) at your disposal to complete the message was individually so poor. For this collection has a real way, you can install a panel schematically collect the entire field of metaphors with the traces and words-seed, and where by a thread weaving may be physically more sophisticated messages that will create the lattice, the real material, metaphor at the end of this meeting.

Finishing the conference, each participant will be given to the piece as a souvenir of what was individuality, then and now garden in a string.
